Our mission is to teach, inspire, and encourage followers of Christ to serve God more effectively as Spirit-led leaders.
In Asia, Faith, Hope, and Love’s ministry hub is Myanmar & Thailand, where Tim is a visiting professor at Myanmar Institute of Theology (MIT) in Yangon, Myanmar. Since 2020, due to Covid 19, the coup, and the current state of safety in Myanmar, Tim has been visiting the Thailand-Myanmar borderlands in order to teach refugees and his students.
Myanmar 2026 Goal
To provide exceptional teaching for Myanmar Institute of Theology (MIT) seminarians, as requested, in the areas of New Testament studies and practical theology; inspiration and encouragement for Christians throughout the country through books and online biblical reflections and other articles, in English and Burmese translation; and counsel and support for MIT leaders and faculty members, as opportunities arise.
Serve as Visiting Professor at Myanmar Institute of Theology (MIT) in Myanmar
Teach New Testament Theology to MDiv. students to complete the second semester of the 2025-26 academic year. (Jan-Feb)
Teach a DMin. module on Spirit-led Leadership for MIT theological students online. (March)
Provide two special lectures for the spiritual formation course in the Christian Education Department for MIT MDiv final year students as requested. (Jan, Feb)
Teach intensive biblical exegetical course for MTh and select MDiv students in Chiang Mai, Thailand. (May)
Teach intensive pastoral theology course for MTh students in Chiang Mai. (Oct)
Continue advising, mentoring, and supporting MIT’s president, as requested.
Develop Faith, Hope, and Love Spiritual Formation Center on MIT campus.
Furnish this center, once the 90th Anniversary building once MIT receives this Building Completion Certificate, being held up by government officials.
Collaborate with MIT faculty to provide programs and library resources related to spiritual formation and leadership, once the center is finished and open.
Continue to develop and distribute resources created by Tim Geoffrion
Print, sell, and/or distribute Tim’s books in various languages, in collaboration with Christian bookstores, colleges, and seminaries. (Ongoing)
Publish a scholarly article in MIT’s Rays journal. (winter)
Continue writing and posting biblical reflections in English and Burmese on Facebook.
Thailand 2026 Goal
To serve as a high-quality resource person to Karen churches, leaders, and institutions in collaboration with Kawthoolei Karen Baptist Churches (KKBC) along the Thai-Myanmar border and the Thai Karen Baptist Convention (TKBC) in western Thailand. The primary areas of service include teaching classes, seminars, and workshops; preaching, counseling, advising, mentoring, and distributing Tim’s books in English and the Karen languages in the refugee camps and elsewhere. The target audience is those serving currently as pastors, leaders, and teachers in the Bible schools.
Serve as Visiting Professor and resource person at Kawthoolei Hope Theological Seminary (KHTS), in person.
Teach Critical Reasoning and the Bible to MDiv students. (Feb)
Mentor and advise KHTS administration, faculty, and staff on an ongoing basis by conducting one or two faculty workshops during the year.
Possibly teach faculty members at Siloam Bible School in Chiang Mai at the request of TKBC. (Feb or March)
Conduct another two-day workshop at Kawthoolei Karen Baptist Bible School and College (KKBBSC) for faculty in Mae La Refugee Camp. (Oct)
Conduct workshop(s) for Kawthoolei Karen Baptist Convention (KKBC) Bible School teachers on the subject of Christology. (Feb)
Provide teaching and training for KKBC pastors, church leaders, and Bible school teachers in a workshop format in Mae Ra Moe camp (tentatively scheduled for Nov).
Support and minister to IDPs in Myanmar and refugees in Chiang Mai and Mae Sot areas (by visiting, making financial donations, counseling), as opportunities arise.
